Gallstones

Gallstones are small stones, usually made of cholesterol, that form in the gallbladder. In most cases, they do not cause any symptoms, but in a small number of people, gallstones can become trapped in a duct (an opening or channel), irritate and inflame the gallbladder, or move out of the gall bladder and into other parts of the body.
