Hydrocele

Hydrocele is a swelling in the testicular area caused by fluid.

Hydroceles develop at birth and do not usually require treatment as they often disappear on their own in the baby’s first year.

Less commonly, hydroceles can develop in men aged 40 or more in the form of an infection following injury or as a side effect of radiotherapy.
